This is a 15-20 minute assembly, PSHE or tutor time session covering what the Prevent strategy is. It includes some videos and discussion points around Prevent and information about how to spot signs of radicalisation. This was originally delivered to KS3 and KS4 but could also be suitable for KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). There are no written tasks in this presentation, it is an overview of these topics in line with the PSHE and Citizenship curriculum, SMSC and Fundamental British Values. It could also be used in an assembly or whole school setting as a quick reminder of Prevent and Radicalisation. It can be lengthened or shortened depending on the timing of the session. The videos are downloaded so will never disappear. Students reacted well to this session and some important and interesting discussions were had.

This is a 10-15 minute narrated assembly about dyslexia. It includes a short downloaded video which will never disappear and defines the condition, how it feels and the benefits of dyslexia looking at famous people with it. It goes through the problems someone with dyslexia has but also focuses on the strengths of having dyslexia. It also shows the students common misconceptions of dyslexia and finishes with an extension video if needed. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated. This was originally an assembly for Years 7-13 (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5) but it is also suitable for KS2. It can also be linked with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time resource. There are no written activities in this presentation but it can easily be lengthened if it is needed for a longer lesson.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about positive language. It covers the important topic of being positive, watching what language we use to communicate to others and using positive language online. It was used as an assembly for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12). It covers: Why it is so important to show positive language in school The power of words Important quotes and two downloaded videos that will never disappear How we can show positive language What situations we need to show positive language How we can support cyberbullying Code of conduct Reflection slide with thinking questions and positive quotes There is a slide for you to add your Pupil Code of Conduct or behaviour policy or you can delete this slide if you prefer. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.

It is suitable for a whole school assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and was originally used for a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10. This is a 10-15 minute assembly to celebrate and explain My Money Week in June 2022. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Year 7-13) as a whole school assembly or tutor time resource. This is a 15 minute tutor time session or assembly covering the mental health issue of clinical depression. It was originally a Yr 10 PSHE session for tutor time but can be used for all of KS3-KS5, Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It contains strategies to cope, definitions, a slide of support groups to help students and some discussion activities. It contains a downloaded video clip so it will never disappear. This fits in with the new RSHE curriculum, Keeping Children Safe in Education and the PSHE curriculum.

This was a PSHE session for tutor time for KS3-5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) which is 10- 15 minutes long and contains videos, discussions and important messages for students about different religious and cultural practices and diversity. This could be used as part of the diversity element of the PSHE and Citizenship programme or could be used as an assembly. The students responded well to this session. There are no written activities and it includes a quiz to check learning and two downloaded videos that will never disappear. One video is about religious festivals and the other about non-religious festivals. This session could easily be lengthened to create a whole lesson for RE on the importance of festivals.

This is a 15 minute presentation which was originally a KS3 and KS4 PSHE session for tutor time. It could be used as an assembly or a standalone quick look at how to care for the elderly in the community. It contains two youtube clips downloaded so they will never disappear, some information and a class discussion question that pupils can think about for a plenary. It also includes a small section on child carers and the intergenerational care home idea from the news. It focuses on why we should help the elderly and can contribute to the new RSE and Health Curriculum as well as the existing PSHE and Citizenship, SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Values education.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about the dangers of ketamine. This is suitable for upper KS3-KS5 (Years 9-13, Ages 13-18) and fits well into the new RSE & Health curriculum, the PSHE & Citizenship curriculum as well as the Keeping children Safe in Education Safesguarding document. It contains: What ketamine is The dangers and risks of the drug Discussion about the class of the drug A short video clip about how ketamine can affect you A short video clip with a case study about addiction and the consequences of taking the drug There are no written activities in this session only discussion tasks but it could easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson. It is suitable for Ages 11-18 (Years 7-13, KS3-KS5, Grades 6-12) and fits into the RSE & Health curriculum as well as the PSHE, Citizenship, RE, British Values, SMSC strands. This is a lesson which centres around the Coercive Control BBC documentary. It was originally a set of 2 x 90 minute Citizenship lessons but can be adapted easily. It includes written activities and discussion points as well as extension tasks, definitions, moral issues and sources of support. It has already engaged lots of students and taught them the law and issues surrounding Coercive Control. It highlights how to spot coercive control and leads to some excellent discussions among KS4 and KS5 students. It is fully narrated although you can easily change this by deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer it not narrated. It fits into the PSHE and RSE & Health Curriculum and can be used to highlight and learning to spot and stop abusive relationships. It is suitable for KS4-KS5 ( Ages 15-18+, Years 10-13, Grades 10-12).

This is a 15 minute assembly about exam stress suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It is especially useful in the run up to any periods of assessment or exams. It covers different ways and tips to manage exam stress by three downloaded short video clips that will never disappear! It has some discussion questions but this session could be lengthened by students writing notes and their own revision plan if you needed it to last a whole lesson. It was originally a Year 9 tutor time PSHE session about the importance of looking after student’s mental health in the run up to an assessment period. It fits into the new Relationships & Health Education, the Mental Health agendas, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Careers and Exam Skills and the PSHE Curriculum or it can be used as a whole school resource as an assembly.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about online safety. It covers why students need to stay safe online, what the risks are and how to get help if needed. It also covers what particular things to be careful of e.g. address etc. It includes discussion activities and no written tasks. It fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time session or assembly. This is a 10-15 minute tutor time resource about British Values. It could be used for an assembly or PSHE/Citizenship/FBV/SMSC session. It explains what the five British values are, how these should be implemented, a discussion about universal values, a focus on the first two values. - Democracy and the Rule of Law. This gives a great overview of British Values and has been positively received by many students.
